At 85th Pl Los Angeles, we completed a custom gate and fence installation focused on a driveway gate designed to fit a tight side-yard approach. “A custom gate and fence installation is the made-to-measure design, fabrication, finishing, and on-site fitment of gates and fence components for a specific opening and use.”
The project features a 105" x 89" wrought iron double swing gate built with a welded fabrication steel/wrought iron frame and gate leaves clad in cedar wood infill panels for a clean, contemporary privacy look with a subtle arched profile. The metal frame provides structure and longevity, while the cedar face delivers a warm, residential aesthetic that pairs well with nearby masonry and landscaping.
Work performed included fabrication of the double-swing driveway gate, precise alignment and mounting to the existing opening, and installation of heavy-duty hinges and a centered latch/handle set for secure daily operation. The gate was set up with consistent reveals and smooth swing clearance, with posts/columns and connection points sized to support the weight of the wood-covered leaves.
This gate is automation-ready for a future automatic gate operator/motor and access control upgrades (keypad, remote, or intercom), with the layout suitable for adding safety elements as needed.
